to the rather far out element...

..who is supporting Hamas and the 'election' and the Palestinian terrorists...

you suggest the 'democratic' election was not to the WESTS liking and by default it was illegitimate....hmmm.

Lets put it another way..lets assume it was all good and fair and democratic...west or no west.

I am doubtful any one of you would go and live or visit that part of the world. And why not I ask?

when the Palestinians have a true, free, viable and thriving state that is free from the whims of the Israelis and Egyptians , when the evil that is Zionism is relegated to the dust bin of history like other evils such as communism and fascism I would be glad to visit it.

I get your point Scouser....

...but you missed the part of being grabbed off the street of Damascus, whisked away to a sandy dank outpost in Gaza, put before a camoflaged curtain and slowly beheaded with a dull knife while being videotaped.

All of which has nothing to do with the Egyptians or others. Its because your a white westerner and ripe for the taking.

But I am sure the democratically elected governmnet would have a top notch Police department at the ready..to rescue you!!

Hamas has a wing that that is located in Syria, which before this mess started was already arguing on the way forward with the Gaza faction (good going Israel you gave them a common enemy)

The whole objective of the Syrians is the return of the Golan Heights and ask anyone would kick Hezbollah and Hamas out of Syria five minutes after a deal was signed with Israel, they only use them to keep pressure on the Israelis.
The whole mess is Israel's 40 plus years of a occupation, humiliation, blockade of the Palestinian people, they like so many previous conquering rulers had expected their subjects to sit quietly like lambs got a different answer

Check Your History

Can You Draw a Map For Me..showing Where 'Palestine' Was Situated In History? OR BETTE RYET..heres an article for you!

"PALESTINE" - Never an Arab Country
One of the myths of our time is that Israel, before it was settled by the “alien” Jews and “stolen” from the Arabs as a result of “imperialist machinations,” was an independent state called “Palestine” whose majority residents were Moslem “Palestinians”. Unfortunately for those who would propagate such misinformation, the truth can be easily and historically seen.
The historical fact is that until the defeat of the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire in World War I, there was no geopolitical entity called “Palestine,” no Arab nation ever set historical roots on this soil and no national claim was ever made to the territory by any national group other than the Jews.

Between the time of the expulsion of the Jews by the Romans in the year 70 to 132 AD and the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in 1918, Israel (“Palestine”) was occupied by fourteen conquerors over thirteen centuries, until in 1948 the Jews once again declared their independence. The following table shows the historical periods of the various rulers of “Palestine”:

1. Israel Rule (Biblical period) 1350 BC to 586 BC
2. Babylonian Conquest 587 BC to 538 BC
3. Israel Autonomy (under Persian & Greco-Assyrian sovereignty) 538 BC to 168 BC
4. Revolt of the Maccabees 168 BC to 143 BC
5. Rule of the Hashmoneans & their successors 143 BC to 70 AD
6. Jewish Autonomy (under Roman & Byzantine sovereignty) 70 AD to 637 AD
7. Rule of Moslem Caliphs
Mecca 637 AD to 661 AD
Umayyides 661 AD to 750 AD
Abbaaside 750 AD to 870 AD
Fatimides 969 AD to 1071 AD 637 AD to 1072 AD
8. Seljukes Rule 1072 AD to 1096 AD
9. Crusaders
Ayyubids (in parts only) 1175 AD to 1291 AD 1099 AD to 1291 AD
10. Mamelukes Rule 1291 AD to 1516 AD
11. Ottomans (Turks) 1516 AD to 1918 AD
12. British Mandate 1918 AD to 1948 AD
13. Israel rule under democracy 1948 AD --- .

Thus, during the entire period of recorded history “Palestine” was never ruled by so called “Palestinians”, the name adopted today by the Moslem residents of the Holy Land. The rule of the various Moslem Caliphates, which was a foreign rule, extended for a period of 432 years – Jewish rule of “Palestine” extended over a period of over 2000 years.

The inhabitants of the land consisted of the conquering soldiers and their slaves, and only during the Moslem conquest of the area were these diverse ethnic inhabitants compelled to accept Islam and the Arabic tongue, or be put to the sword. The Jews, on the other hand, are in fact the sole survivors of the ancient inhabitants of “Palestine”, who have maintained an uninterrupted link with the land since the dawn of recorded history.

It is one of the failures of our media today that, while an almost complete acceptance is granted to an absurd, fabricated lie, no attention at all is paid to the fascinating story of the Jewish families and communities who have resided in the Holy Land without interruption since Biblical times. These people have, throughout hundreds and thousands of years, kept their national claim to God's given ownership of their homeland.

First and foremost, Israel does not let anyone in or out, so how can anyone visit?

There used to be an elaborate subway system right underground leading straight to Egypt. It was even free of charge, yet dark, narrow, and sandy.

But unfortunately it was destroyed.

Fascism? Like forcing women to wear table cloths on their heads, not allow them to drive cars and vote, as well as massive fuck fests against their will? That's not Gazan fascism created by Ham-ass? Now you don't like the Egyptians? Tough. Learn to live with your neighbors which means Hamas surrenders or dies. I prefer the latter. Hamas dies.

That's a debatable issue I'm afraid (nothing like the Nazi's marching into the sovereignty of France in WWII).
Sorry, there's no debate. Nice try though.

Fortunately, it's not. That's just wishful thinking on your part.

Human freedom can never be completely suppressed. Israel tries to suppress it but Hamas is fighting for it. That side will always win.

Reality is sometimes hard to bare, but that's life.

Oh good! More reasons to destroy the place and kill every member of Hamas. Thank you, you have justified the Israeli position. BOOM!!!!

Another tunnel destroyed. Hopefully with Hamas members in it. Next Israel will occupy the Philadelphia corridor and rid the world of every member of Ham-ass like a bad habit. You can keep complaining, of course, when all of Ham-ass is dead. I mean, so gone, even Syria will kill off the remaining members staying in their luxury apartment with suits provided by terrorists. What did Syria PM Ass-ad say, that the Israeli offensive will bring extremism? Sorry, lie. It's there now and Israel is wiping it out.

Why are so many people in the Middle East have "ass" in their names? Ass-ad, Ham-ass, Ab-ass? A bundle of jack-asses, if you ask me.

I would like nothing better, but it won't happen until all the money is counted and properly divvied up.
Finally...the truth. Money and greed are the root causes of all conflicts past and present. The Catholics and Protestants in Ireland didn't fight over religion...they fought over money. The US presence in Iraq has nothing to do with freedom or democracy...you guessed it, money. The Crusades? Yup, money.

Humans have always found ways to destroy the planet and each other. Why? Greed and money. Unfortunately this is the driving force behind the human condition.

And Israel is fighting to hang on to the land and property stolen from the Palestinians.

Just as the Palestinians are fighting to keep the land and property. Both sides are after money and are doing it for greed. Next?

One party has stolen and the other wants to reclaim what they own.

Next?
