Hamas leader Khaled Meshal addresses Tehran conference 'in support of the Palestinian Intifada'; Iranian supreme leader tells conference that UN bid for statehood will fail.

Hamas leader Khaled Meshal told an international conference in Iran on Saturday that "resistance" was the only option left for the Palestinians.

Meshal was addressing the "5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada" in Iran’s capital Tehran.

"Palestinians must resort to resistance no matter how costly it is, until Palestine is free and Israel is destroyed," Meshal said.

Doesn't seem to be any ambiguity in this statement. He feels that it it better to destroy his own people's chances by killing Israeli civilians than it is to make peace that benefits everyone.

Perhaps you can help us all and point us to the word "terrorism" in the quote you provided.

No, I don't think anyone on here thinks I champion the causes of Israel. I champion universal human rights. I want Palestinians to enjoy the same rights that Jews in Canada enjoy. There is nothing radical about that, is there?

It is certainly better to be gay than Palestinian in Israel and the Occupied Territories. Israeli Jews seem to have a pathological hatred of them. But I guess they have to. It's hard to ethnically cleanse them and then loot their land and property if you think of them as equal human beings.

Your an idiot both sides in the middle east have portions of their population that are consumed with hate, but I see almost nothing occurring within Arab states to think those states have a snowballs chance in hell of allowing a moderate position to exist or develop. When you defend Hamas you deny the possibility of the growth of a non violent path and yet your role as a computer cheerleader doesn't seem to be a very onerous commitment to the cause.

Resistance to an illegal occupation isnt terrorism, were the Irgun and Stern Gang terrorists when they were blowing up hotels and committing massacres at Deir Yassin. Also didnt Israel's best buddies Fatah have their charter proclaiming that they wanted to destroy Israel and look at how that changed. Politics is all about the here and now, and frankly with Bibi and the dance club bodyguard in charge of Israel, should anyone really expect Hamas position to change? not really.

You keep posting these numbers, without any analysis. Why?

I know to me I look at those numbers and I think the Palestinians should reconsider their losing war against Israel. It isn't going well for them.

On the other hand I have a sneaking suspicion that you look at it in a very superficial way.

Although you agree with Hamas that killing pregnant women, children, and other civilians constitute 'resistance', the sane world calls it terrorism.
