Evil? Try not sending back dead hostages as scheduled (which caused the aid issue) and actually sending a dead body that wasn't even a hostage. Completely normal behaviour from the losing side of this war that is ALSO refusing to disarm as per the ceasefire agreement. So you have your version of a villain, but others have a different opinion.
Like any criminal organization Hamas has to rule with an iron hand to ensure loyalty, or at least obedience to their control.
They are now killing any Palestinian they suspected of not being loyal and obedient to their absolute control of Gaza.
I believe this ceasefire will fail due to Hamas refusing to disarm and hand over control to any political organization that will recognize the right of Israel to exist.

Hamas did their part and returned the living hostages.
