I like that low key jab at Trump while praising Carney, they run in the same circles.
You're gonna tell me that a guy like Carney has "lower/middle class" friends?

Someone who was on the chair for Bloomberg, worked at Goldmann Sachs, was a globalist banker and with the World Economic Forum?
Run in the same circles?
Are you kidding?
Trump is almost universally regarded as a vulgar buffoon with no class among the world's true business and social elite. Not to mention anyone who can spot a con man. Can you imagine if he wasn't a billionaire and was at some party or event? Everyone has experienced that kind of obnoxious guest.
Want to see his class of people he attracts.... like flies to shit? Go to his Bedminster, NJ or Miami clubs or his Mar-a-Lardo display of gaudiness and see the class of clientele.
Sure, they may be (low-end) rich (like under $50m) but they are not refined people. Lots of fellow slimy real estate developers who DGAF for anything except making money to show off with their ostenttious cars and pinky rings. Anyone who has spent any time in South Florida or Boca knows exactly this greasy blowhard type. Go to Trump's Palm Beach golf club and Mar-a-Lardo for a few hours. Then head across I-95 to the cheap side of town, West Palm Beach to Wellington, the polo club.
I've been to the clubhouse at his PB club and several places in and around the Wellington Polo Club.
Trump's place is gaudy, in poor taste and snobby. Lots of fat, ostentateous assholes driving supercars and smoking stogies. And everyone is there for
something.
Wellington is subdued, casual and everyone is welcoming and friendly. THESE people who winter in Wellington to play polo are the truly
wealthy, classy people. People fly a dozen ponies (each) up from Argentina, Brazil, Dominican, all across the US, India, even Canada. In fact there is a Toronto Polo Club that has many members that play. And the generally have 2-4 ponies they ride each match, changing between chukkers. These are TRULY wealthy, subtly elegant, classy, welcoming people. And unless you know who they are, you wouldn't know they are worth hundreds of millions. Yet they treat regular folk as normal people.
Polo is the sport of kings, yet attracts quiet, elegant inteligent people who make
everyone feel welcome. Like Carney, and unlike Trump they are polite and well spoken,
In fact, the Polo for Heart tournament is on this weekend up in Richmond Hill. The Polo Under the Stars Gala on Thursday night is sold out with some 700 people. Tables are $4,000. I've been invited by a very, subtly wealthy friend and have been a guest of his and other polo folks for many years. And I'm not at all considered 'rich'. Just good, likeable company. Sat and Sunday have $25 tickets, kids under 12 are free and you can either buy a table on the side of the feild and eat gourmet food, or bring your lawnchairs and a picnic (no outside alcohol) and enjoy a beautiful day watching an exciting sport. And anyone can join the club to learn to play. They offer lessons and if you can't afford your own pony or two, someone is always willing to share. Membership is cheaper than golf and so long as you love polo and horses, you'll be readily and warmly received.
Check it out if you want something to do this weekend!
https://www.poloforheart.org/. All proceeds go to Southlake Hospital's Cardiac Programme.
Carney fits in this "circle". Trump would be so out of place HE would see how outclassed he is and HE would feel out of place. And like he did at the G7, he'd likely run away back to postiing shit rants on PoopSocial at 3:00am from his gold toilet.
Trump has way more money than Carney, but NO class, intellectual ability, nor natural social skills to ever "run in the same circles" as a former Canadian and British Bank Governor.
