While Weinstein's coarseness might have been an open secret to Hollywood insiders, it certainly wasn't public knowledge. It's impossible to imagine that the Obama's would have let their daughter intern there if they had known that W was a serial rapist and harasser. What parents would have done that?! A daughter of the president could have interned anywhere she wanted - any film company, any theatre production house, any talent agency, wherever. All BHO had to do was pick up the phone. So why would they have sent her to Miramax if they knew??!!

Why does everyone feel it necessary to make "a statement".
It's really none of their fucking business. I could see if politicians want to make a statement, but really, Clinton and Obama are just citizens now.
Even some of the hollywood big shots like Streep et al. Unless someone asks them their opinion, they should keep their mouths shut and let this play out.
