Hey if Troops comes back and gets banned 2 more times, then i think he wil break my record.

I think he was on a pace for the shortest time required to hit the top 10 list of posters... I just think he wanted to be quicker than SubDave at something.

...heres a thought, you can always get yourself over to PERB, assuming you still feel like giving your 2cents.

Its only a fifth of TERB, but its a start. The board could do with a seasoned veteran. For those that liked his contributions here you can always pay him a visit on PERB.

You do have to take into account that the power that runs that show, also runs TERB. ie. What will get you banned here, will get you banned there.

However with a new atititude, new members i could be the start of a whole new Troops. Maybe a name change is in order.

Do users banned from Terb just get their username locked, or do their IP Addy's get blocked?

Last couple of times I was banned.. It was my IP that was banned... I could only access the board through Anonomyzer.com .. using all the bells and whistles... and then it only works for about 15 minutes at a time

What you do is, you unplug your internet connection down in the basement and plug it back in. This will reset your IP ...

Last time I was banned I could not connect to TERB at all. It was like the site did not exist. So I had to resort to the last option ... resetting my IP ...

And yes, I could only read and not participate. It sucked !!!

So for clarity does resetting your IP (in your basement?) change your IP address or does it do some other little trick.

I have cable on Shaw. I was told that i could contact Shaw and only they, and they alone, can change my IP address, and you have to have a bloody good reason. --- Kev

That is true... and they probably would not change it if you asked.. each node is desinated a certain number of IPs.. I asked Rogers to change it once.. they said that they could not... owever if you cancel your service and then sign back up, you may get a different IP.. but is it worth it???

I have a feeling that Troops IP was not banned.. as he appreciated my "fart in the wind" analogy
