Not sure of where this thread should go...

I'm getting into a somewhat serious relationship now and I'm thinking of getting tested for STDs before getting "comfortable" with this lady.

I'll go to the hassle-free clinic downtown.

My question: if it is found that I have something, and antibiotics are prescribed, will it say on the prescription what the antibiotics are for? Will my neighbourhood pharmacist know?

Oh, I'm in Markham so I'll have to drive -- any parking down there?

there is street parking available but the green hornets are very vigilant..the come by at least 3 times a day.

Doctors' perscriptions typically only list the drug and the dosage.

However, I don't know if the prescription pads used by the Hassle-Free doctors identify the clinic by name...that might be a bit of a giveaway so perhaps they don't.

To be 100% safe, you could always fill the Rx at a downtown drugstore. There's one at Church and Welesley (SW corner) which is close to the clinic.

The only thing that you would have to worry about, is a positive result that means that your former partners get a call from the Health Dept.

Does that mean they force you to tell them who your previous partners were or can they determine that by analyzing your blood? I can't think of any other ways they'd find out.

1. HFC gives you meds from their supplies
2.+ results = its up to you to tell your partners they have no way of identifing you
3. you can't just book an appointment for hiv testing and expect to get in right away,expect a 2-3 week wait.
4.They will do std(other than hiv) testing on a walk in basis no appointment needed.
5.if you can't get an hiv test appointment there call the Queen West Medical centre(queen & bathurst or spadina can't remember) as they provide anonomyus testing and don't have such a backlog but they don't test for other stds unless you are homeless.
6.HFC is very busy so if you are going to go then go when they open or expect to wait in a line up that extends into the hall.

Since HFC is always so busy, are there any other hassle-free clinics around?

I like many of the " features " of HFC (see analandy's response)
Except that it needn't be drop-in.
