Wish I could help, I need the same info.

I know there are many places but I don't know that there are many great deals out there. Consider talking to a few cab drivers.

Happy hunting and good luck.

Goodyear has (had) a great sale...

Just got a set of all weather tires at a Goodyear Dealer last week..After checking around with Green and Ross,Costco,my car dealer etc I concluded that all in the Goodyear deal was best....There are a number of additional charges to be considered such installation, old tire disposal, alignment etc which needto be factored in...

Goodyear Tires...

...The price obviously depends on size, all weather, ice etc.I can check my records for the price if you wish..In terms of where I got them it was at my local Goodyear Dealer. The sale was company wide so all dealers should be the same or close to it....I suggest you call Goodyear and Green and Ross with the specifics of the tires you require and ask for a quote...

Thanks Pargolfer. What did they cost you all in and where did you get them from?

too bad you don't have time for a trip to Buffalo. Probably 30% cheaper sad to say. Costco service is excellent.

Buy tires in US

There is a website that caters to people who want to by in the US via the Internet...cannot remember the name.Bottom line was that the pricing was lower but you had to take them for installation etc..

While it is too early to put on winter tires now, I would strongly recommend that you buy winter tires. If you can hold off on buying new tires for a month or so, winter tires are better, not just because of snow, but because the rubber compound is manufactured to work better in the cold.

I have used Sammy's in the past although not downtown. Got a good price comparable to costco. They are at 2114 Yonge Street @Eglinton. 416-489-1361. Costco currently has some rebates for Mich and Goodyear I think.

Hers a list of tire shops in the GTA you may call and get quotes.

http://www.tires23.com/ - Usually gives the lowest quote and if you have a specific brand or size in mind they will order if they don't have stock.

Again out of downtown area in Markham. http://www.steelcasetires.ca/ - Usually has good quotes.

http://www.tiredepot.com/locations.html - at Yonge and Steeles. competitive pricing, closer to downtown.

Closer to downtown than going out west to tires23 and the trinity clubs and SRM area. http://www.tirecanada.com/

http://tiremaxx.ca/ Islington area.

the kijjjijji ads - http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-tires-rims-Special-on-All-Season-Tires-W0QQAdIdZ27348039

There is place on Jane close to Lawrence that advertises 50% off hankook tires which are already cheap tires but great value and performance but can't remember the name of the shop.

Best to call a couple shops and see what specials they have and well availability including your local active green and ross and OK tires http://www.oktire.com/en/location/ProvinceList.aspx?RegionCode=23.

Good luck.

Buy them from the US...depending on what size you need the savings can be considerable

www.tirerack.com

Also from time to time there are some good deals to be had on ebay for something that is nearly new.

Also local tire dealers may have something that they call "take offs" they are tires that are nearly new that they took on trade when selling an upgraded wheel package. I bought four michelins for 50% of invoice in a situation like this.

Good luck

If you are in the Oakville area, go to Jensen Tires on Winston Churchill Blvd. south of Royal Windsor Drive. I have done plenty of checking around and have yet to find anyone who can match their prices which includes installation, balancing, new stems and disposal. I purchase all my tires from them for me and my family.
