That was the best part...watching this happen knowing that they werent doing it for themselves...there was no publicity stunts going on there, just genuine goodness and sharing.
I guess Biker Gangs are just misunderstood.
My 2 cents. I knew a guy who opened a bar which got smashed up by a local good old fellow who rides bikes with halo's and horns on their back because he wouldn't use their soda machines.

I'm not so sure anything would happen, while they are tough guys I don't think this is the kind of thing they would get involved in if it became a bit of a trend to wear their stuff unless someone was distributing the licence without permission. One of the biggest problems is not the Outlaw Clubs but the police and politicians that use them to increase the police budget or increase their votes based on the biker "threat." I heard one OPP claim that all the Toronto area marinas were controlled by Hells Angels and thats how drugs were getting into Canada.
Yes the outlaw clubs are involved in criminal activity, and I stay away from them especially if they are drinking or doing drugs. Some of the clubs have members who are sociopathic and have very few brain cells left so when they get on crank anything can happen. Many of the outlaw bikers will wear suits and look like any other businessman when doing their illegal activities.
You never wear a clubs patch when you are not in a club. It will get you fucked up. However the angels and the outlaws and bandidos all sell support t-shirts, and so do some of the related clubs. Could never understand why someone would have the desire or need to wear one of these shirts.
The clubs like to spread their own bad ass mythology, so its difficult to cut through the bullshit. I have seen police info flyers on the secret meaning of different tattoos and patches, and can tell you that most of it is BS given to the police by outlaw bikers to see how much they swallow.
Much about the clubs is very highschoolish. You will see angels wearing patches saying AFFA (angels forever forever angels) outlaws wearing OFFO (you would think they would come up with something original.) Also alot of the Angel support stuff has 81 or highway 81 on it (H is the 8th letter, A is the 1st letter) last time I saw stuff like that it was high school.
Outlaw Bikers are a minor criminal problem, but they are easy for the police to make headlines with. The real organized crime gang problems today involves asians and south americans and are much more dangerous and difficult to deal with.

Publication bans are normal in criminal trials, especially high profile ones. Paying a guy "a grand a week" sounds like compensating someone for a mediocre $52k/year salary they are probably foregoing because they're in witness protection or some such.
