Some of the married guys wouldn't agree on this point. Although I'm sure 99% of the SPs are discreet with the numbers they have, there was one case where a high profile SP from TO decided to start cold calling when she had spare time. Some guy answered his cell right in front of his wife. Luckily he didn't leave his cell lying around so his wife could answer.

I think you girls/agencies should establish some trust with each other. If I can provide good references from other SPs and agencies that knows my email address, then why need my phone number that I will never give away unless I am on the road in a hotel using an alias name.

I also want to point out that I recently had some ladies in Ottawa, but kept a low profile and didn't announce it on most of the review boards. There were alot less problems with alot less no shows.

I not only think that something like that is rude, but very unprofessional. I know sometimes business can be slow, but put out an ad, email them or post something on Terb.

I would never, ever call a client unless he was already expecting my call. If I ever call someone and it doesn't sound like the person I originally called(ie:a female answering) I would act like I dialed the wrong number.

I have had many ladies in the past calling asking what this number is for. I suspect they found it on the redial(always makes sure you delete the redial) . I act like I don't know what they are talking about and tell them that I am an answering service and I can only take messages for my boss who's name is Barry. Would you like to leave a message?

It sounds crazy but it works.

I can understand that some cancelations cannot be helped. IMHO, no shows are inexcusable. I am wondering if no shows are the same people with their own agenda doing it to all our visitors.

This happened here a few years ago.

Within the hour after starting this thread, many gentlemen came to my rescue and made up for the "no shows" and cancellations....

All emails and "pm's" will be answered, please be patient...

Cancellations from someone I know is not an issue. The problem is cancellations and "no shows" from the "new comers" in Ottawa... I do too suspect that it might be coming from a group of people that have a fixation on ruining sp's tours.... I'm sorry for them, as it is not working at all.....

To those that suggested lowering my rates. As many have said before, this is not going to change anything about the "no shows" and such....

Most importantly, I wanted to find a solution that would not hurt me or the clientele....

I will definately keep touring to Ottawa. My approach will just be a little different with new comers.

Well Michelle sorry to hear about the problems. You are such a pretty lady and professional, it would be sad to see you not come back.
The emails from no shows you should save and the next time they try and book you just do not reply. The phone would be an added bonus.

You Need A Phone!

There is a company called comwave that offers a voip phone for about $9.99. I currently use vonage but have been thinking of switching. You can take the phone wherever you have highspeed internet and most hotels do. It might be a low cost option for getting a phone.

Pas de problème!

A lot of gentlemen have emailed me or "pm" me to appologize about the times they had cancelled on me DAYS in advance due to sickness or other important reasons!

I can't possibly tell you about all the emails I got!

My response to this is that one does not need to appologize or "make up" for a cancellation under these circumstances. THESE THINGS HAPPEN and we totally understand...Pas de problème!!!

Remember that I myself once had to cancel a whole tour here due to sickness and I was very flattered by the understanding and compassion that was shown to me at that time. I find it only fair to treat gentlemen the same... And I know that Michelle agrees with me on that.

A few more things and then I HAVE TO GO TO BED!!!:

Michelle and I are NOT LEAVING!!! We will be there for all our appointments today Wednesday...with bells on! (I personally don't have any availabilities left for this tour) but WE WILL BE BACK IN OTTAWA SOON!!! There is no doubt!

Ok, last thing:

I ususally like to answer emails everyday but because of the situation, I received an outragous amount of emails and I don't think that it will be humanly possible for me to reply to everyone today but be sure that I will reply as soon as possible. Can you imagine if I had a phone? It would have been ringing off the hook or my voicemail would be full and I still wouldn't have much time to return phone calls would I? LOL!!!

3. How's Thursday?
4. 2 hours later: What time?
5. Next day: around noon?
6. 5 hours later: No, too busy
7. How about 7 PM
8. 3 hours later: Sounds good

This whole thing could have been setlled in 2 minutes over the phone

I have no time for this. Tried it once, and successfully made an appointment after 10's of emails. But I'd rather not do it again, as it's too much work for something that takes one minute over the phone.

If you take advantage of early booking, we can most likely give you the time of your choice after your FIRST email. Or...If you leave us a call back number for last minute booking this means:

I like to plan in advace, so it works for me.

As you all know, I am in Ottawa until June 28th and offer incalls downtown....

I have been coming to your beautifull citie for a while now and I love it!

Unfortunatly, I have experiment alot of cancelations and a ridiculous amount of "no shows" lately.... I have been patient, thinking it might be bad luck or just a phase.... Alas, it just keeps getting worst everytime! What should I do? Considering all my expenses when I come here, the "no shows" and the cancelations, versus the gentleman that are serious and wants me to keep touring to Ottawa? .....

I hope you can help me solve this issue, any suggestion would help..... To stop touring in Ottawa is not really what I want, but I think we need to talk about this, I am not the only sp experimenting this.....

I hope we can come up with a solution.....

This is a problem in Belleville also and the price is lower!
I am a SP, in the Belleville area and I work by appointment only with phone contact ONLY.
I have found that lower prices seems to bring out the jerks and maybe guys who are not really serious, just curious.
So what suggestions did you get or try - that improved this problem?
