And more than that, isnt it appropriate that if Jesus had to be executed that they chose crucifiction? His worshippers can acknowledge him by crossing themselves. Imagine if he had lived in modern days and his execution was by lethal injection or electric chair. Would people have to jab their arm or convulse?
