To win she now needs to capture 90% of the remaining super delegates assuming she gets a 70% win in Puerto Rico and that Obama merely holds her to 50% in the states he is expected to win.

A Clinton victory is now a statistical outlier.

It won't be long before it's a mathematical impossibility.

Obama is talking about going to Iraq to see first hand whats going on there. McCain said that they could go together, Obama turn him down, smart move.

Obama can't take any chances. Hes got so much going against him. Hes not for helping big mega company's making as much profits as they can-like Exxon 10 billion every 3 months. Hes for helping the poor in the big citys-hes for workers getting higher wages and hes black.

Many people-some powerful would like to see him gone-they won't say it-most of them, lol-but they can't poss. be for him.

Hillary is good friends with the Wal Mart family, I can't see her pushing for high wages for Wal Mart workers, un un. She be better than we have now-thats for sure-but she won't bring big changes like Obama might.

Fuji,

I have said before she would quit. She is not out yet. Unfortunately with her idiotic remarks concerning Mr. Obama and linking him to Bobby Kennedy, she has really finished herself off. She has no chance now.

Don't forget Democrats invented pollitical correctness. Obama has no choice but to refuse her an offer of the Vice Presidency. I think though that he does not want to be seen to be too vicious in taking her down because she still has almost half the party behind her.

Obama has a really tough challenge ahead.

Don't kid yourself for a second. Obama's for helping Obama and his cronies that support his agenda.

Unfortunatly what he says will have very little to do with what happens if he gets elected.

The concept of holding a politician to his promises is long gone. In Ontario a judge actually made a ruling that politicians don't have to keep their promises.

Everyone is waiting for the fat lady to sing... Hillary hasn't figured out it's her yet.

Imagine the dog house that Bill will be in now....

What an asinine waste of time to discuss either marginal candidates from a 'fringe-party', even remotely possibly winning.

McCain will be the next President- get a grip!

You are right. He will do more to unite the Republican party than anyone can.

Only the Ds would be dumb enough to nominate the most liberal sitting senator who can't break 100 bowling.....

Canadian perspective, objective based on interests:

Hard to say whether McCain or Obama would be a better president for Canada/US relations.

McCain is more pro-trade and would likely strengthen than weaken the important trading relationship, which would be good for both countries. Obama might cave in to special interests and fuck up NAFTA in some way.

On the other hand McCain is a security hawk and he might make the border even more of a barrier than it is today, creating long lineups and delays that sink viable cross border business relationships. Just in time delivery does not work if you face the possibility of being held up for 48 hours at the border.

Obama would be far more likely to stabilize global politics. He'd patch up things with most countries and the resulting increase in global security would presumably reduce the thickness of the Canada/US border as US paranoia levels come back down to sane.

Unlike the last time I agree that there are few bad choices, whoever wins the next American president will be far better than the present one.

One can only hope that the fat lady starts singing in Hillary's ear. Then again maybe Rush Limbaugh can scare up some votes for her in Operation Chaos!

McCain is not dealing well with the "new left" ie the "Greens". Vaclav Klaus president of Czech Republic is the first Western leader to step up and call Algore a raving Commie. Sadly, in the next US election the far left will be the big winner in Congress. They are going to do mucho mega damage to the economy with their environmental policies.
