The receptionist where I work is super hot, and I happen to know she is single. I am not her boss, but I work at a management level in the company, so she treats me with some "respect".

I know hitting on someone who works for me would be totally out of line... but what about someone lower than me in the org but in a different dept., like this hot receptionist?

Then the practical matter... I guess it's easy enough in this case. Just ask her to go for lunch, and if she says yes, use the occasion to ask her out somewhere else.

Now, I am not looking for a GF, as usual, I just want to bang her a few times.

ps... no, she has not flirted with me like my wife's friend does, but she is real friendly, she would almost certainly say yes to lunch, but getting further i dunno.
