It's scary that they're projecting Houston to receive just as much rain over the next few days as they already have, if not more. And they have 6 more days of rainfall coming

I dont see how they're gonna eat and drink. There's a good chance most of the wellwater and tapwater is contaminated, and unless you have a week's worth of food on hand you're not eating. It's scary that they're projecting Houston to receive just as much rain over the next few days as they already have, if not more
And all we get is the boring snow and cold. The insurance companies are going to have a field day with this one.And they have 6 more days of rainfall coming

Depends on whether the insured has flood insurance. Insuraance likely will cover any wind damage and any water entering from above, but groundwater? Probably out of luck unless they have FI.Those cunts will try to get away with not paying out
The last heavy rainfall we had, it almost made Center Island into Gilligan's island.I wonder if something like this could ever happen to Toronto. Not a hurricane, but a massive rainfall that leads to flash-flooding the whole city
On a serious note, I hope there are no casualties, as they say, you can always rebuild, but you can never take back a life. They were saying Houston is mostly asphalt and cement, so there's nowhere for the water to recede to quickly
Here's what 9 trillion looks like, now you can imagine what 25 trillion gallons of water is like.25 trillion gallons of water will fall on Houston when its all said and done.
JEEZUS!!!
The government will come through on it if necessary. Those cunts will try to get away with not paying out
Fortunately for us Toronto sprawls on a fair grade making excess water just dump in the lake. Local flooding and lots and lots of wet basements would be the result, but that's just crappy construction methods and plugged drains- like 3 or 4 years ago when we had floating cars on the Gardiner.I wonder if something like this could ever happen to Toronto. Not a hurricane, but a massive rainfall that leads to flash-flooding the whole city
