How do you pull a quote from a post such that the original poster is indicated and the quote appears between those two lines? It does not work when I use the cut/copy and paste. Sorry for my lack of word processing skills. thqanks for any help.

what you need to do is click on ">>Quote" on the bottom right of the post you wish you reply to instead of clicking on "Post A Reply" on top or using the Fast Reply: area.

sorry for the long sentence, but I hope it answered your question.

Always glad to help out. Glad you learned something today.

Also keep in mind that if you prefer, you can type your own original text UNDER the quoted text as well.

Here's another question. How do you split up a quote so that you can place replies after each point that you'd like to address and keep the quote in bold and your reply in regular type?

Simple. Just place the "bold" icons before and after the portion of the text you wish to quote.

Basically, all the more advanced stuff you see people doing, like changing type sizes, fonts, etc., can be done using html language, which the board system will correctly display if you have html code capabilities enabled. This is also how people get that recurring picture in the bottom of there posts in the signature, such as the flapping Canadian Flag in the posts of Lost and Confused, and Paula Poriskova's butt in mine. (I know which one I'd rather look at :D )
