Paper towel and and Iron... put the paper towel over the wax .. iron it ... the iron melts the wax the paper towel absorbs it...
Lay out some paper towel or other absorbent material.
Heat your iron and iron the material. The wax melts and is absorbed up.
Do one or two passes with the iron, then get new material. You don't want to transfer the wax back out onto the surface you are cleaning.
It may take one or two tries, but you'll get most of it out.

Try this
Cover the wax with a kleenex and iron with your clothes iron on a medium setting, pull the tissue off and the wax should come with it. You may have to repeat a few times to get it all. Make sure to scrape off as much residue as you can beforehand.
BE CAREFUL to not turn your iron up too high and scorch your fabric. Most fabrics in carpet and furniture can withstand a medium setting.

4. Turn on the vibrator

Rinse. Repeat. Wipe hands on pants.
If you have access to any, you can pour a little liquid nitrogen on the wax then (carefully) flake it off as it warms up. No I've never tried this but I'm fairly certain it would work.
The iron / paper towel thing is probably easier for most people though.
