I know a guy who on one hand, is sufficiently motivated to seek out an escort review board, post 31K times on various subjects ranging from porch people, to HR curses, to mildly racist statements, and yet is so lazy that he has never seen or reviewed a SP

The ONLY two reasons I show up to my part time minimum wage job: 1) to appease my parents and 2) so I can afford sp's. 100% of my meagre salary goes towards hobbying.

I dropped out of my accounting degree after the first semester, because I was tired of listening to some idiot in a classroom while being surrounded by hot - but inaccessible - sloots.

I have zero motivation to impress a bunch of sheeple by "making something of myself." Food in my belly and pussy on my dick are all that matter.

Laziness is not a character defect. Don't chastise the idle; learn from them.

Who's lazier: the guy that sits on his ass all day or the guy who has time to notice a guy that sits on his ass all day? Like keekas said earlier, time to evaluate your friendship with this guy. Sorry to sound harsh, but this guy won't be going anywhere with his life so why hang around him at all?

You guys sound like my teenaged son... :hand: Lazy, sits on his ass all day, playing video games... etc.

Up until 2 weeks ago anyway. Then, funny enough, he got a girl friend. Cute too... not sure how, but he did. Now he has a new leash on life... got a job, a haircut, stopped playing video games all night etc. Funny how things work isn't it.! :hand:

1.porch people

People who spend their time sitting on their front porch all day. Their porches are outfitted with family room type furniture and sometime even a refrigerator. These people will resist all forms of exercise and personal hygiene. Porch people's main forms of entertainment are the arrival of the ice cream man, watching the bug zapper at work, and Nascar events.:thumb:

Lol, first time i have heard of this term...

There's an couple on my street and everyday I see them in the exact same spot on their porch. Its like they never, ever move. I never see them conversing they just sit and stare at everyone who walks/drives by.. I can't imagine sitting on my porch everyday just watching people as the highlight of my day.. Funny thing is everyday I pass by and they give me a strange look like I'm an alien or something even though I've lived on the street for several years.

Don't worry about what others do, worry about yourself.

As long as they don't ask me for money, I don't care what they do. Not my problem.

My weekend neighbourhood is riddled with people like that. At least 50% of my street is either on welfare or on disability and half those on disability shouldn't be. A good number of them are also on subsidized housing. My neighbour broke his wrist on the job eight years ago when he was 22. He hasn't worked a day since and continues to collect disability. His injury hasn't kept him from enjoying physical activities, so I'm not sure why he thinks he's incapable of working. All he does is play video games, ride his ATV, and raise his dogs.

Sounds like many neighbourhoods in Toronto proper. These people don't even count into the unemployed numbers because they are not even looking. This city is full of dependents like this, it makes me sick. Especially when I know that a portion of my taxes that I work hard to pay for goes to leeches like this.

Actually, living at home CAN be a smart move ... IF you work a real job. You'll maximize your savings.

But as mynameisearl pointed out, your parents will eventually age and need to move into a senior home. They may need to sell their home to pay for that.

Or when your parents pass, you inherit the house ... with all of its bills.

So regardless of whether you move out or live at home, you NEED to generate income.

For people who collect disability, I don't hold it against them. If anything, I admire them. They've managed to exploit a loophole in a very inhumane system, something we'd all do if we could.

Any anger you feel towards these people should be directed at your guidance counsellors, parents, and anyone else who's responsible for this 50 year prison sentence you now find yourselves in.

The question is how lazy are you? And, the answer is I don't think I am that LAZY because I am reading your LAZY thread and send you a respond! LOL.

I had a friend some years ago like this... hitting 40, still living with the folks. He had never had a job, but was very smart. His two siblings are very successful. I lost track of him for a while but when he re-surfaced, he told me he was working as a business consultant out of Houston, TX. (WTF?) He was let go when the recession hit, and I haven't heard from him since. To the best of knowledge, he's back with the folks and would be about 54 know...

I assume he's expecting his folks are going to leave him enough money, that he can "retire". :p
