Two years ago...Halliday, Delgado and Wells all had career years and the team still only managed 87 wins (overated season).

Last year, the handle completely fell off the table with 19 less wins than the year prior.

Now, with Delgado gone and his production no where near being replaced along with the American League being is a tough division, is better pitching going to help bring this team over 70 wins?

I doubt it. Your thoughts?

77 wins
i think they are about a 500 team
but the division play will keep them under
any other al division maybe if every thing went right
87 wins
just an average team
until baseball shakes up the divisions or
adds some more wild cards
there is nothing to get excited about
also look out if balitmore learns how to spend money in a smart way
then the division is a three way race for first and a wild card
and toronto and tampa will settle the 4th spot
still love the game but when it is over before it starts
it makes it hard

i'd say they should have a good struggle to outdo 70 wins for the season... but that is going with what they have for a team right now...

Would that be BBBJ or or CBJ????

Oh you said blowjays.... in this watered down league, most teams should be able to win 70 games.. Halladay is good for 20 wins alone.... koskie and vernon wells should account for another 20, then 30 games can easily come from the rest of the team.....

I'll say 90 wins.

They've had a good spring training. It might a good year if they can carry that into the start of the season. With no hockey, the fans might start to fill some seats.

I hate to say it

..... but we should keep trading away our best players for blue-chip prospects. Follow the "Expos" model for a while to build up an incredible farm system and roster where almost every player we have is a potential future all-star. Bank role the cash. When we're ready .... spend money on players to win the championship. Only problem is .... we really can't trust Rogers to spend the cash when the time comes. With our present team, we can't compete with the Yankees and Red Sox.

Keenez.... you have the right idea. given the current operations of major league baseball, this is the only way for a small market team to compete... but one little tiny problem..... the "expos" model ended up with the team in Washington...
