Hey Lisa, nobody is criticizing the strippers here so chill. It's pathetic to have to pay someone to talk to you. It's NOT pathetic to have people pay to talk to you 
If you can convince some guy to pay you just to sit and chat good score for you.
It's not the dollar value I'm criticizing this guy for, it's the bit about paying for just sitting and talking. No matter whether I had to pay someone $1 or $10k to talk to me I'd feel like a big loser either way. I find I can talk to pretty much anybody pretty much any time I want, for free.
Now getting women naked and sitting on my lap is a talent I haven't quite mastered, at least not when chatting with the chicks around the office at work. I can understand someone paying for the sexual service. At least not with a 10min investment of time. I just don't get these guys who have so little personality they have to pay someone just to talk to them, no matter how small a percentage of their income. I'd find that humiliating.
As people say when you pay a woman for sex you are paying her to leave. I could just as easily pick up women in a bar or something, really, but aftewards it'd be messy, and that might make it a lot less fun. You can walk into a strip club and 2 hours later walk out and leave it totally behind. Same deal with an escort or MPA. You're paying for there being nothing going on after it's over.
But there's no strings attached to talking, so why pay for that? I can chat up all kinds of women even at work, have a nice conversation, and walk away with no strings.
And as the original poster said I routinely spend a lot of time talking to dancers in clubs. I make it clear right away to them whether or not I'll be buying anything, so that they can choose of their own free will whether to waste their paid time. I find, often enough, that they'll choose of their own free will to talk to me. If they don't I'm not offended, I know they're working. I'm also not incapable of finding people to talk to me outside the SC--that's not why I'm there, really.
