Wondering if anyone knows how to save a picture in Jpeg format.

A picture that was created in Adobe Acrobat, and can only be opened with Adobe reader.

I would like to be able to open that picture using for example, Windows Picture Viewer or any other picture viewer?

Anyone have any ideas. Thank-you

This may not be the best way, but try this:

Display the picture on your screen in Adobe Reader.

Now, hit your Print Screen button.

Open up Windows Paint, and select Edit->Paste.

Use Windows Paint to adjust the picture, such as Image->Attributes.

Then, when you're done, File->Save As.. the picture as a JPG.

If you have something better than Windows Paint, use that.

Wouldn't it work if you just found the file through Windows Explorer and renamed the pic with the extension ".jpeg"?

You can use a photo editor software other than the low tech crap that came with windows. This will allow you to "convert" the image from whatever format it is in to JPG.

Alternatively, when you open adobe reader, right to the left of the zoom/magnifying glass tool there is a "snapshot" button. This will allow you to create a window frame around your image which saves whatever is in that window to the clipboard.

You then open a new document in your photo editor software and paste this image into the new doc. Then save as......

Word of advice: if you use this method zoom in as close as you can to the image in the PDF document as this will give you the best resolution.

Barring all that you can purchase adobe writer and edit the PDF directly....

Easiesy way as said is to hit the PRINT SCREEN button, which will take a picture of your monitor, basically a COPY function. Then open up PAINT or some other photo program and hit PASTE. This'll make an image of the entire window you just copied, then you'll have to crop it around the image you want, and SAVE AS making sure the extension is JPG. And that's it.

This is the easiest way to do it.
The problem is, you have no control over the resolution of an image.
Screen resolution is either 72 or 96 dpi, depending on software. Usually websites are 72 dpi but if you are working with Microsoft Powerpoint, the resolution is 96 dpi.

The best way to get images that are high resolution is to have a photo rendering software such as Adobe Photoshop. There are limitations to this as well. For instance, if you want a high resolution image, you must start with one first. Computers can't perform magic, just follow instructions. If you take a screen shot, it will only be good up to 96 dpi. You can, if you are a specialist in such things, render the image to be higher resolution through many tricks, but that's definitely not in the laymen's range of skills.

I can do such things and am willing to help you with the image if you want. PM if you want help.
Cheers.
