What a shameless ass. Were lawyers not supposed to be smart and astute???

This is Canada's leading employment lawyer, and he ends up parking his Ferrari in a lake during the flood.

Then, he ends up on the front page of the Toronto Star, joking about HOW BUSY he was and had to get out of Toronto, and just left his car.

What a complete dick. He readily admits driving the car into the water....not knowing if sinkholes or manholes were exposed within. Then runs away from it, only to get front page advertising in the Toronto Star.

All this while REAL victims in Lac Megantic deal with multiple deaths, fire, explosions and a REAL MESS.

Its dicks like this that cause MY INSURANCE TO GO UP.

Idiot

I thought he was pretty classy. Its just a car bro. And his priority is to his client. I think you could learn a think or two from him about his dedication.

His dedication has nothing to do with his stupidity! And, by the way, I know tons about dedication! Thank you very much!

I would be ashamed to get my photo and a story on the front pages of the Star....to discuss DEDICATION..... After stupidly driving into and leaving the car in the drink. What on gads green earth was this dick thinking.

Sure he was dedicated. But his handling of his car before, and the two page self plug story after, through shameless two page stories in the Star is ridiculous. Again, his actions affect MY INSURANCE RATES.

lmao... what would you do if you were driving your car into the overpass and there was a puddle ahead? would you put your car in auto mode and do a 180 degree turn around in downtown traffic? xD

and yeah.. any publicity is good publicity.. I bet a heck lot more people know this Howard Levitts lawyer now and would infact hire him for future work knowing his work ethic ;)

Yes he did say that...'Insurance will pay for it' . And he further said if Insurance can't fix it, he would get another one.

Im not talking dedication here...sure HE'S DEDICATED.

im talking stupidity and wondering why my premiums go to his stupidity.

it just surprises me that smart people like him find themself in this predicament.

And it's galling, that he sluffs it off in a two page advertisement.

umm.....insurance will pay for everything, and I gets free publicity? sound about right?
hahaha exactly.. he had insurance for an expensive car and what's a little humiliation and looking stupid to have dumped a Ferriari when you can get your name, photo and story on the front page of Toronto Star.. The whole of Toronto knows who you are xD I bet it would cost atleast as much as a ferrari to put a full page ad up on the Toronto Star

Did you even read the article?
Were you there?
Did you experience the flash flood(s)?
Do you even know where it happened?

If you were in the same position -- guess what -- you would have been trapped and flooded too.

A pic of the car was tweeted to the masses and hit the media during coverage of the storm. The Star only followed up on the story. I thought the guy seemed decent when he answered by simply stating he does not sweat the small stuff. Hardly gave the article more than a glance. And I hardly got riled up over it. People don't always make the wisest decision at the best of times let alone in a crisis. That's life.

Lots of cars got flooded, many cars made it through the water only to stall out because the wiring got wet. I also went under and underpass, and was happy to make it out the other side. If you were driving around at all, you could not always see the road or judge how deep the water was you were about going through. A Ferrari might not be the best car to be driving on flooded streets.

only to get front page advertising in the Toronto Star.
Guessing that's why he is driving a Ferrari, and his beater is a Viper. When given lemons, make lemon aid.

And, remember what street where this occurred -- you are not the only car on the road (fmahovalich believes otherwise)

Not jealousy... Envy

Jealousy is when you wish you were a successful lawyer and had a Ferrari. And being somewhere was more important than a quarter million dollar Ferrari, or posting on TERB!

Envy is when you hate that the other guy is successful, respected and has a Ferrari!

I chuckle at all the guys who wish they were this guy. I wouldn't want to be most of the lawyers I know. Unless you're all about the money and then, well, you've got other issues.
