Hogan was a body builder / actor... Him, Rick Flair, Shawn Michaels, Ted Dibiase Macho Man, and later on Undertaker put on the groundwork for staged story lines...people ate it hard back in the day... They paved the way for some performers to find a stepping stone in order to go hollywood... Dwayne Johnson and John Cena wouldn't be enjoying their fame without the WWE...

Let's not forget Stone Cold...One of the best characters of all time.

Wrestlers and wrestling fans aren't really an echo chamber.
Yeah show me an actual source showing wrestlers and wrestling fans celebrating...

Better look at the comments under the video that DesRicardo just posted..What do you see...Nothing but respect. Zero celebrating.

Ahh, 43 people on the internet, some of whom call him a villain and more than one who distinguish "Hulk" from "Terry"
Good point.
Very convincing.

Thanks, still waiting for your source that a lot of wrestlers were celebrating his death.

My signature below describes WWE wrestling and its reality. The man was an entertainer, shaped the modern WWE, and he was amongst the best ever at doing his job.
RIP.

I was never a big Hogan fan. I always wanted him to lose. Then I see all of the recent news with him. The racism with his comments. The odd political stuff that he did later in life.... and then also the fact that other wrestlers didn't like him.... He also told many many lies about many things from small to large. I must say these things didn't make me like him even more. But now that he's passed away I've been watching a lot of stuff about this. I can understand how many people are celebrating his life and his involvement in the growth of wrestling. When I was a kid, he was the biggest person on the planet. At least it always felt that way.

Ironically, if he wasn't a scab, the wwe would have unionized under jesse the body, and he and the ones who went before him would have had better healthcare and worker protections.

You could argue that Owen Hart and the Benoit family's blood is on his hands.

And he wouldn't have had to become such a shitheel because he would have had a pension plan.
Only a fool would believe what Jessie Venutra said. He's a former carney actor and politician. The least likely of people to believe. No one other than Jessie has ever claimed to try and unionize wrestling and you should take a minute and think why that is. Other top stars like Macho man and Andre would've been against it too. Owen blood is on Vince's and Vince only hands. Benoit is his own doing. No one else to blame.
