Hundreds in GTA get extra welfare for multiple wives

Pro - first off; please learn proper English before you talk about people being insensitive to others.

No one here has said Muslim = Sikh. They are both religions foreign to the general population of Canada; and they tend to be the most vocal groups in insisting that "rights" they have "at home" should be granted to them here; and tend to pull out Human Rights complaints when they get their own way.

I work with many Muslims, and some Sikhs - my experience with them is generally positive; and I try to accomodate their needs (breaks and room to pray, certain dress requirements, etc) as best I can. But - when it comes to things like safety (hard hats, harness, etc) - it's my way or the highway - because it someone get's hit in the melon, or falls; the labour commission frys my ass, not theirs. It's not about religion, it's about THE LAW.

If I goto India, is it right for me to demand them to serve me a steak, or speak in English? No - because that's not the country's culture or way, and = I WENT THERE = so it's on me to observe local laws and cultural standards, not on them to change to suit my wants and desires.

What happened to the indentity of a country? The strength of a Nation?

If Canada was so much better then where someone came from, that they moved here, why do they want to change Canada? Accept it, Love it, or go the f^ck home!

You know you are very good at talking a lot of shit! Sikh's only have basically one problem and its the same problem that the jews have and that is with the head piece being part of their religion. If you have went to India like you said and if it was a big city which it most likely was they probably would have spoken English. It was an English colony. I have been there too and a lot of people speak english especially in the big city. If the Canadian government says its ok for them not to wear a helmet why would the labour commision be on your ass. Give me a break you don't make any sense. You must be embarressed at all the immigrants coming over with nothing in there pockets and after 5 years here they have saved there money and bought a house. While the 5th generation Canadian who has had every opportunity in the world is still renting is scarberia complaining about immigrants. Give me a Fu^^ing Break!

Just for the record I think these muslims abusing the system should be sent back and there should be an inquiry looking into bringing people from those countries who are just going to milk the system. Restricking imigration the same way they did with Jamica when there was a lot of violence happening. But to paint all immigrants with the same brush is just stupid.

I have no problems with immigrants that come to Canada, make the most of this great country, and make something of themselves - that's how Canada was formed. It's not immigrants I'm against, it's people that take advantage of the system that piss me off. I have no use for welfare cases, no matter where they come from... Just happens for foreigners on welfare, we can (and should) send them back where they came from...

As for the labour commission example I gave - try it, and see what happens - as the supervisor, it is my responsibility to ensure that work takes place safely, and I am held accountable.

Anyways - I'll not debate this - productive, respecting members of soceity, are welcome in my world... Everyone else - can sod off...

Interesting because I work in a box office out by the Airport.

About 3 months ago, some guy drove a van over the curb, across the sidewalk and onto the lawn of our office. He didn't hit anyone, but his van was pretty fucked up. He gets out of the van and was obviously pissed drunk and staggers away leaving the van.

We called the cops (no-one really bothered to try to restrain him) and the cops came and said, "It's Friday"

I was, "yeah, so?, it's Friday at 2 in the afternoon"

The cop just sort of chuckled and says to me that in certain parts of Mississauga and Brampton they have a HUGE problem with drunkeness in "certain ethinic communities" - that they all get hammered on Friday and then drive. He didn't elabourate. He just said to keep an eye out, especially on Fridays for drunks on the road.

For some reason I thought he was talking about Indians because the guy looked like an Indian and there's lots of Indians in Brampton and Mississauga where I work.

Maybe it's a muslim thing then.

Dumbest quote ever! If you go to any strip joint or Irish Pub or bar in the Canada or USA probably the western world there will be a lot of people on a friday afternoon. They must all be Muslim.

I'm skeptical about there being much truth to that Sun article. You can only claim one spouse when you're on welfare. Additional wives might get on welfare as single people or single parents, but if they are all trying to live at the same address, red flags are gonna go up.

Probably is true, it is very easy to use a friends or relatives address when filling out the paper work.
