Hundreds of Iranian regime officials already in Canada, may have ‘significant amounts of stolen money’

Buying a property in Florida and becoming a snowbird is your first step. It isn't that complicated for a retired person. I hear lots of current snowbirds have their places up for sale to get away from the orange felon conman so it's perfect timing. To your credit, you're not a MAGA fool.
I know you are not a Trumper, so I will suggest buying a nice condo near the water in Costa Rica, eh, hmmmm, and you can get away from this foul land called Canada.
Last place right now to buy and live. 2% property tax, 11 grand average house insurance costs, 4 digit maintenance fees, huge assessments. Shitty built properties. That's before all the other inflationary costs of living tallied up.

Places like Costa Rica, nice to visit, rent a place for a winter or two, explore things. Good if your health is great. But live? I prefer the stability thanks.

Where would you live in comparison?
I want to live here, just without these fucktard of governments. Example when Harper was running the show the ISIS that were coming back to Canada were blocked, even if they had dual citizenship, but when Trudeau took power he passed a law called C-6 where the terrorists are allowed back in the country. Because quoting him : a citizen is a citizen even if he wasn't born here and is a terrorist.

It's also a protection. Any govt can declare someone a terrorist and deny them entry otherwise. So it orotects you as well. Sometimes laws have to work that way. That doesn't mean we can't charge them. Monitor them, but unfortunately giving citizenship means taking responsibility for them.

Funny enough they, other than a few incidents, don't want to fuck with Canada. They also want a safe place for them and especially their family.

Unfortunately if it worked so well we wouldn't have a problem, but like other European countries we're getting swamped by the wrong people.

I'm Canadian, vince.
I'm with the majority who are both against genocide and say that Israel is committing genocide.
You are with the 21% who back killing people because of their race.
Sure you're Canadian, you may have Canadian papers but you never integrated. You're not Canadian, you're a jihadist the spends all day on Terb promoting Islamic terrorists and bashing everyone else.

I get what you are saying. I really do. But in the end imo the law is a greater protection for a greater good for Canadian citizens.

You can keep your citizenship, move to Thailand, renew visas, everything is cheap, healthcare is decent, lots of expats, and guys have been doing it for decades.

Fact is Canada is a safe place. A place of laws, of far less chance regime change, a war on our shores, govt intrusion in your life, and better chance of someone to give a shit about you when you need it.

And you figured that out. Which is great. But it will never be perfect.
Thailand, LMAO. Hell no.
I don't expect Canada to be perfect but Trudeau and his gang of clowns has screwed up everything that was good about Canada. Carney is from the same mold.
I think the future of Canada is very grim and depressing.
If the financial consequences wasn't so big I'd be gone already.

The law!? Have you read a paper lately.
Car thieves, rapists, home invasions, shootings, street racing, store looting.
What law when criminals have no fear of the courts. They get mandatory bail within a few hours. It's a fucking joke.

I was specifically discussing the law about citizenship.

As for the rest I honestly haven't looked at the latest statistics on year over year increases. And I agree that bail is too lax, that consecutive sentencing should be a thing, and some sentencing guidelines for habitual criminals need to be increased.

By the same token Carney ain't Trudeau. He is far more atkin to Chretien for comparison than any leader imo. And he will be looking for a win next year so I expect him to address this at some point toward a more conservative view. He is going to be far more a pragmatist than an ideologe.

Funny enough as get closer to retirement I'm feeling optimistic financially. We are typical middle class. Mortgage is one year away from being done. We are above average in savings. Secure employment. Good health.

I'm pissed internationally its so shitty and I'm expecting it to get worse. But really what I see are lots of first world problems. My life, compared to so many others, is pretty damn good.

What are you talking about?
You make it sound like this is the wild west. lol.
Crime is lower than it was 30 years ago.
I will acknowledge though that there has been a small uptick after 2021, but you are exaggerating.

On the other side of this a bad economic turn will increase things, which is seemingly more likely in the next year or so. Look at the Great Recession years on your chart for an idea.

We do need to look again at bail conditions and sentences for some crimes.

Canadiana quiz - how do you define a Canadian?

Sure, you think the UN, ICC, ICJ, Haaretz, CBC, MSF, Unicef and WFP are all 'jihadist' sources promoting terrorism.
That says more about you than me.

This you say is terrorism.

The papers are all owned by Americans, almost all republicans.
No wonder you think this.

I wonder what happened in 2015?
Oh yeah, I'll let you figure it out.
