Yes Hunter is a victim of the ruthless MAGA movement who will go to any lengths to destroy anyone that they think it might be beneficial to. Never in history has a 'crime' as petty as lying on a gun application been prosecuted and investigated so relentlessly. Comer spent years and 10s of millions of dollars to find a crime that isn't even prosecuted in red states. Comer had paid for testimony which should have landed comer in jail. It turned out to be a practice run for future sham investigations by the GOP including now the kangaroo court epstein sham where the people associate espsdtein the most aren't even mentioned.
So, I'm not 100% sure about the US, but in Canada the media will not quote the potential libellous stuff because they too could be sued. While our laws are similar to the US, they are different (and maybe stricter), so that might be reasonable in the States.
