At least he is honest about his herpes. I personally am going to fully avoid herpes by having intimate actions only with the highest quality, usually expensive bodies that are unreachable for most people including him.

I’m very sorry to read what happened to you Assman. I’m considering refraining in partaking this hobby or at least minimize the amount of girls I see and stick to low mileage MPAs. I got nightmares after reading what happened to you. A year ago, I would wake up in the middle of the night from my face feeling itchy and I would freak out hoping I didn’t catch a STD on my face.

You.know I did feel bad for him but not anymore.

He had his scare and still kept going. And who is to say he really got tested and it was negative. Could have been a lie to stop that thread from going sideways. He could have had it all this time for all we know. He could have been the one to give it to girls and is trying to put the blame the other way around.

We also have no idea if he saw civie chicks too and maybe he got it from there. Who knows at this point. He says he goes to the HFC and we know they don't do blood test if they don't have to because of the cost. I don't buy that he was tested for HSV back in 2008.

Just posting an update on my status. I had a bad outbreak, but it is now clearing up quickly. Since it os HSV-1, my wife accepts that I could have contracted this in childhood since my dad had quite a few cold sores and that I either transmitted it to my own genitals, or maybe she did by kissing me and then performing oral (which she rarely does). It really makes no sense, but she trusts me and maybe just wants to believe this. I took the advice of members and have not mentioned my lobbying and think that was probably good advice. She would have never understood that and we really do have a good marriage and I am a good father and provider so absolutely no indication (at least for now) that she would leave me. She understands that she has some risk and we will go back to using condoms when the outbreak clears and I will take suppressive anti-virals to minimize the risk of transmission. It's still a life altering diagnosis, but I guess it is working out pretty well for now. I suspect most wives would not be as naive or understanding, but so far so good.

I'd be interested if this has affected your sex life since your diagnosis, and if your wife still believes your story.

It would be too early to tell re sex life - the virus heals subsided but it takes time for the crusting to flake off - and the skin to heal over.
