I missed 24 tonight....

Man you missed a great episode. Jack got some food then took a nap. The cliffhanger was him walking into the washroom with a newspaper.
Of course that didn't happen. Who needs realism (sorry, it was on the tv but I wasn't really paying attention)

I was kind of disappointed a little.
I think it's because it's just getting repetitive.
Somehow shit happens, Jack gets hit by shit, Jack recovers from shit.
New shit arises, Jack challenges the shit, gets hit by it, recovers from it...
Oh and they throw in some twists in between the shit, kind of like a pretzel shit.
Maybe it was just me tonight. *shrug*
Next week, it'll be a different pile?

They save what's his face from the terrorists.
Jack defuses a bomb
2nd show
Jacks "sister-in-law" (I really think that's their kid between the 2) answers Jack's ?'s about Gramps.
Gramps see this - gets suspicious.
Gramps decides to take grandson home with him, while Jack, sister-in-law and the boys with guns decide to go after a Russian conspirator who worked with his brother.
Gramps calls up the wifey, threatens to kill her son if she doesn't do as he says.
She follows instructions, misleads him to a house that goes BOOOM!
Everyone inside died, but Jack made it out just in time.

I have to seriously ask. I am not a big TV fan. I have a couple of my shows, mostly HBO series and that is about it. I have all 5 seasons of 24 on DVD and have not watched 1 episode. I know that if I watch one I will have to watch them all and we are looking at about 100 or so episodes right now. That is alot of TV watching.
So the question, is it worth it? All the time I will spend watching these shows? Is the show really that great?

If you see people yapping about it, the hype and making threads about what they missed...chances are it's pretty good.
I'll warn you now though, it's damn addicting and hard on your nerves at times. I swear there must have been a few people that have had cardiac arrests because of the show.
