Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be with a whole plane load of people and the flight crew saying "Allah uh Akbar" as the plane taxis for takeoff. If a passenger steals an extra bag of peanuts , do they wait to land to chop off his hand, or is that the in flight entertainment? They could be a new branch of Branson's airlines, call it "72 Virgin Airlines"...

I can't believe the narrow mindedness expressed here. This is an airline catering to a countries demographic. The will serve halal food and will not serve alcohol and the uniforms will be closer stove in style. It was started by Hindu entrepreneurs and will be all inclusive (people of all faiths welcome, no segregation of the sexes and no dress codes for the passengers) it is an example of the 99.99% of Muslims who practice their faith in a rational and non-discriminatory way. We should be promoting this, not making insulting comments about chopping off people's hands.

Well there ya go then. It's just me. I would be the only one uncomfortable with it. And let's be honest about it, the west chops off more people's hands for theft than Islamic countries. And just last week I was at a stoning of some woman in North Bay who allowed herself to be sexually assaulted. I'm guessing if the Mormons started an airline and wanted to have Christian prayers before takeoff, the civil rights lawsuits would be fast and incessant.
