Why do conservatives always whine about problems that are provincial jurisdiction then vote for the party that would make them worse?

Every time I've asked someone voting conservative this question they list issues that are provincial.

Trump is a madman at the helm. Carney brings calm, competence, and credibility. At a time when the world economy teeters on the edge of recession/depression.
