Runway overruns are almost always as a result of poor piloting skills.

The nosewheel failure looks like a metal fatigue issue. One plane was 16 and the other 35+ years old. Long before Boeing's current C-Suite and management moved to Chicago to become stock market share price engineers rather than aeronautical engineers.

I still fly Boeings and trust them generally, but they better turn things around fundamentally, or they will get sued iinto Chapter 11 and/or lose more sales to Airbus and Embraer.

It's not that hard. I imagine there are a few, very few, key people who are stubborn and are getting in the way. Boeing's Board needs to provide hard, cold demands to put quality FIRST at any cost, including firiing anyone who gets in the way of that.

I don't care who flys the planes or assembles them if their skills are the best and don't blame those pushed beyond their skills if things go wrong either because of DEI. I do blame Boeing upper management all the way to the top for putting profit above safety.

Why would you think "DEI" had anything to do with it?

I do blame Boeing upper management all the way to the top for putting profit above safety.
Oh look, you are aware of the actual reason.

Wow.
So you claim to blame them for putting profit over safety, but what really gets you mad is something else.

Good! Means more leg/arm room, storage, peanuts and cookies for the rest of us. Also may be less brats and wailing babies

Speaking of diminished quality, I suspect they were somewhat influenced by a few Puget Sound neighbors near Boeing Field, like MSFT, AMZN, and SBUX ☕

Perhaps software players know deep down that their products don't affect human lives as directly as aircraft, so they are always pushing the envelope to reduce quality costs.

When non-software players like SBUX copy that culture, it doesn't go well. Recent news is SBUX's former honcho publicly made rare suggestions to the current executives for restoring quality, including rebuilding its app.

About time. I don't know how many times I had to reset my SBUX password to redeem my e-gift cards, only to end up using a Seattle VPN to access the app from Canada. 🤷‍♂️
