Do we ever get bored of eating? For many of us, sex is as constantly necessary as food. When we are very hungry, we never find it boring to indulge in a tasty dish.
I agree with you. If you sit down and eat Kraft dinner everyday for the rest of your life, eating becomes a mundane predictable routine that provide less pleasure than the sh*t you take getting rid of it. However if every meal you sat down was new taste that pleasures the palette - of course your over all enjoyment of life is enriched. Sex is no different.
I also feel that sex is an underestimated health benefit as your physical metabolism is geared for reproduction (sex). As you stay sexually active, your body responds but most people I know that withdraw from sex tend to be those that become fat and unhealthy.
Fantasy and Lust has it's place in the human part/experience of our souls in helping us to learn of it's non importance in the big picture.
Our sole purpose is a divine one but one needs to overcome the physical and material illusion before we can begin to truly live.
First this maybe showing my lack of intelligence more than a put down on the statement but this sounds like sounds like the rationalisation psycho-babble of people who don't have the choice.

Fantasy is akin to hope, dreams, imagination - all add colour to the black realities of the world. And who determined that it is 'non-important' - people who have omitted it from their lives ?

The fact that I'm living in a home not a cardboard box under the freeway overpass .. is that a 'material' illusion ? Am I 'truly living' when I am shivering alone in a cardboard box under a freeway ?
