I haven't seen much of her work i.e. a long standup session but she's pretty decent. Amy Schumer - I don't get it. Not at all close to being funny. I wish I could recover the time spent watching her special (recommended by a lady). Meanwhile there were a couple of female roasters on Bruce Willis and Rob Lowe roasts that were great (at least at the roast specials).

This clip was ok though. I've seen better from her.

I've only seen her in the clip above but the first half was funny then she dragged the joke out for too long and it got less funny.

The concept of her joke is funny because it's true. The part about turning into a pig is not so funny because that's what leads to divorce.

I couldn't get through her Netflix special. didn't find her very funny. wasn't bad at times and there is some talent there but just not that "bust your gut funny".

No. nowadays comedienne are just not funny...they try to do the same schtick as anybody else...Rita Rudner and Joan Rivers are funny.

Don't forget Bea Arthur, she had the privilege of being the only female allowed to roast Frank Sinatra. She was a stand up comic before she became Archie Bunker's nemesis as Maude.

Iliza has gotten better with time but she didn't make the final cut on Howard Stern's Hottest Comedienne contest.

Ok. I tried. I honestly did. I watched 10 min of her first Netflix special, War Paint. I let out a soft chuckle at 7:30. That's it. She is not good at all. She's a female Dane Cook. She blabbers on and on trying to tell stories, trying to make them somehow funny but she fails miserably.

Now maybe you don't trust my opinion - that's fair. Just one guy, to each his own. Here's proof positive - HER OWN AUDIENCE IS HARDLY LAUGHING! Compare that to Alonzo Bodden or Fluffy (Gabriel Iglesias). I'm laughing hard but so is the audience. Even the 1st Russell Peters special has high pitched laughs and screams right from the get go.

How did she win Last Comic? But then again, how did Alonzo lose? "Democracy doesn't work"!

This over-hyping of female standup comics is getting tiresome. Schumer is OK in brief sets and is a decent talk show guest, but the Netflix specials from most comediennes aren't worth the praise IMHO

Yes this is the trend. Mediocrity is seen as something better because of the source. Ton of artists (singers, actors, etc.) who are not very talented or talentless but get recognition because of sex, race, orientation, etc.

Of course, I could say the same thing about some people who's popularity carries them much farther than their actual talent.

Never heard of her but the video you posted is not funny. It's excruciating.

But perhaps she's funny to women. Men and women think and behave very differently so maybe some types of humour work for them that don't for men.

Undoubtedly true, human nature. I think most of us laugh more at what's relatable.

I'd just rather not be called a sexist while I'm laughing or not laughing.
