RLMFAO.....sorry I got game, but not gangsta kind of game.

Beside, who wants to be a gangsta? Not me for sure. Gangsta people are insecure people. Not my cup of tea.

You got to be on point to keep a Black chick in check - you can't show weakness.
That makes me feel bad about my horrible generalization:

This is a big generalization, but:

One thing I have noticed, is that the 'white' notion of 'protected' seems to exist only in the financial sense. Modern white guys are very much encouraged to be touchy feely, passive, compromisers. I've found that this doesn't necessarily play that well black girls ('respect'), or Latin American girls ('machismo') [Not that I have much real experience with Latin girls]. The fact that we're often comparatively reliable and often treat them better is often a plus for white guys, but 'whiny', 'needy', and 'indecisive' is often disconcerting from a 'protected' point of view. Oddly enough this may play in white guys favour with Asian girls.
Albeit, at least I understand it's a horrible generalization. :)

...I just let it go. It was delivered so eloquently too - I just couldn't bring myself to splinter it to pieces of the nonsensical argument that it was, because you seemed so proud of it....and after Mao's post I am trying to make myself into a better man, and a more positive and productive member of the TERB community....

(Ok...lets see if that one sticks...)

No, go ahead-- Whack it good.

I've never viewed anything like that as a race issue. For me it's always been a 'cultural baggage' issue. Even myself, after being pretty 'Toronto normed', I can't pretend that I don't have my share of 'white, anglo, protestant, and rural' baggage.

Pretending we don't have our own religious / socioeconomic / cultural baggage-- either in the form of what we've retained, or rejected and overcompensated for, seems counter productive.

edit: I in no way think our respective baggage is a good thing, but it does play out on the ground, IMHO.

Surely you don't mean this. I've heard others point this out, and I can't believe there are segment of the population that believes in this BS. However, it must be pointed out that the level of melanin in your skin does not equate to your race.

Honestly, this is the absolute best post I have read in ages.

Thank you, red.
Ditto. I'm not a big fan of using or hearing 'black'....'white'.....etc. Its just another way of segregation which then leads to alienation, and stereotypes and so on.

People will seek out and go out with whoever they want or fancy. With whatever look or type they are most attracted to. Thats it.
