Well, as you can probably tell in my posts, I am spending a lot of time in Whitby. Is there some coffee shop there, preferably in the south end, where I can hook up my netbook?
I tried the Country Style in the plaza at the corner of Dundas and White Oaks with no success. It said "Connected, no Internet Access". I am not sure if that is them or a setting on my netbooks (Windows 7 starter, I said this connection type was Public). I am connecting with no incident with the same netbook in at least 3 other coffee shop environments, including the Country Style at Woodbine and Dundas and the CS on Brock Rd in Pickering. Looking at the folks in the Whitby CS, I did not get a sense that they would be able to troubleshoot this problem.
Free is OK but it does not have to be. Some places charge $1.50 for an hour, that is OK with me.
Similarly, is there a website with wireless hot spots in the GTA?
