internet explorer won't load

can anyone help me? my internet homepage does not load, or any other. I had to go to another family member's computer to send this. everthing else works, like my email, my file sharing programs, so the internet connection is fine, but I can't go to any websites, when I try, the page stays blank like it were searching for the website. I am a computer dork, so any help would be greatly appreciated

You still use IE?......

Get Firefox or Opera.

I disabled a bunch of toolbars and I think that worked, I found this at windows help and support under troubleshooting, thanks

you could also try re setting IE settings.
under Internet options go to the advanced tab, towards the bottom of that tab theres a "reset interenet explorer settings"
I wiould suggest you read & understand the note that accompanies the routine before you proceed.
