Instead of asking advice I thought I might share my battery fix for iPhone 4s.
My phone used to drain overnight to empty & would shut down outside while taking photos, music would sometimes get stuck in dock mode,during music and no sound.
To fix it I first replaced the battery through ifixit. This did help but it did not solve the problem. Would still drop about 40-50% overnight. After some searching I noticed that many people had problems with the dock connector. So I ordered the parts from ifixit, replaced the dock connector and now it just drops 1-3% overnight. Takes about 30min to 1 hour to replace.
As a warning replacing the dock connector is a bit difficult and takes some patience and care. Don't attempt to do this unless you don't care if it gets damaged or just take it to a professional. Lot's of very small components that could get easily damaged.
