I've been living in Mississauga for over a decade, and while she's done a lot of good for the city, it's time for the old lady to move on. It won't happen of course because everyone around here loves her because she's cute and wrinkly, and all kinds of feisty, and so she'll win in ridiculous fashion. But the shine is gone - the city is not what it used to be, taxes are way up, and now the shady dealings of her son which I can't imagine she was unaware of. Plus, she's fucking 89 man. And she crashed her car into a pole a few years back and no-one said boo.
Is 89 too old to be seeking re election as Mayor?

)Again, your opinions don't matter and you don't make the call whether age is the deciding factor of whether she should run or not. The voting populous will make that decision at the polls, they will decide if they want an older, sharp lady or a younger, bitch like Parrish.
Sadly - true on both accounts. She's 90 - she'll either die in office or jail if they enforce the law - either way a reality that even she should face if she could stop reading her own press clippings.
I was fighting the rezoning of land to provide a high-rise virtual lake side luxury Condos in just about the worst location you could choose. Great for a developer who sees the zoning thrown out for his development (huge profit just on the zoning). Hazel's reasoning - 'He is a nice man' & 'there are many immigrants that need housing'. Really ? Immigrants needing luxury condo's ?
She is easily confused and with the help of her son - a little too helpful for developers who are friends of hers at the determent of other honest developers. That is how she got into the latest legal mess. Of course, most will look over that for the novelty of having a 90 year old mayor.

Hazel is great. She built Mississauga and the voters obviously trust her.
Carolyn Parrish is garbage and thankfully she lost the election.
Most people saw that the 'conflict of interest' issue was a Parrish powerplay which she lost.
Hazel is still sharp and she can still run the city she knows the city she built very well!
