What are you referring to?
I'm guessing the spam in his email. Notice he took the trouble to start a new thread with nothing to back it up. I can't find anything on any news source that even suggests this.

Roflmao. I knew it wouldn't take long for someone to challenge the Enquirer report. Just remember boys...they're experts at digging up dirt. Pretty boy better hope that they're wrong or his political career has just signed a long term lease in the house of pain. We haven't heard the last of this one.

Not embarassing to me at all. Just pointing out whats been reported. No worse than some of the crap woodpecker comes out with. It was a big issue on Kudlow tonight. Good enough for Kudlow on national TV...good enough for me. And, I guess if the story is false, Edwards would be filing a libel suit. Stay tuned.

Mostly unsubstantiated rumour

This was the most reputable reaction/coverage that I could quickly find.
Most of the other stuff was tabloid or blog stuff.

http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/archives/2008/07/john_edwards_-_rielle_hunter_scandal_back/

The National Enquirer article is quoted (if you really need to read it).

"This is the National Enquirer we’re talking about here, not the Washington Post. Then again, as Byron York points out, “the Rush Limbaugh oxycontin story was broken by the Enquirer, and the press ran with that one.” Indeed, the Enquirer breaks legitimate scandals all the time. But they run with all manner of nonsense too — they just don’t care so long as they sell papers.

I discovered the story via a spate of referrals to my previous post on this, “John Edwards Love Child Scandal” (see it for back story) and was going to relegate it to Gone Hollywood until I saw that it had reached Memeorandum. As with traditional media (and Pajamas Media!), the fact that a story is being covered elsewhere makes mere rumor necessary to cover.

Edwards has been widely touted for another run as vice president, although I can’t see why he’d want to go through that again, especially with his wife in ill health. Certainly, those facts would make the scandal worse, if true. Frankly, I hope it isn’t."

On the plus side, I did find out Estelle Getty has died.

Riiiiiiiiiiggght, a story in the National Enquirer. Then it must be true.
When was it Elvis jumped out of the spaceship and fathered Angelina
Jolie's twins?
Rumour has it Elvis will be McCain's running mate.

Makes sense. Get someone young. It is a known fact that you don't age
after going to the spaceships.

Uh, before everyone goes mocking The National Enquirer, it was the paper that broke the Gary Hart scandal years ago, ruining his chances for presidency ...

Big surprise.

Anyone who spends $500 on a haircut is going to put it to good use. I'm guessing you can catch a babe or two with a $500 haircut.

If she is the one in the National Enquirer photo, I think you
could catch her with a $5 haircut.

I don't read it, I just said this latest dem fuckup will be fun to watch develop. The attempted slur against people who shop at Wal-Mart was uncalled for but expected , given the writers bias against the free market choice it offers.

I'm certain it will take a long time before the lib dominated mainstream print media do anything. Hell, they still won't admit that the drunken teddyk murdered MaryJo.
