Remember the Smart Track? Where is that now? I got no idea.
Tory raised taxes far more than Ford ever did, and Tory called it a moral budget. That I will never forget.
Remember the promise to privatize the garbage collection, which now has been deferred to a later date.
Gee, that is garbage, subways, taxes ... nothing ... nothing ... and taxes going up for nothing ...
If Ford completes his comeback and wins to be mayor again, there is no one to blame except intransigence.
Or to use the language of Ford Nation, no respect for the taxpayer.

Whenever these polls come up in terb, I start to wonder if it's because Rob is here on terb, trying to see if he's still relevant or popular. Go home Rob. Leave the world to the grown ups
:thumb: yes, while ford had a lot of personal issues, he kept our taxes low and actually accomplished things...Tory is way too much talk and telling us what we want to hear and too scared of the red tape to do anything useful for the citizens.
What did Rob do? Wrecked transit planning; encouraged congestion; cut the City's revenues, but raised taxes nonetheless; created discord and confusion among politicians, staff and citizens, and bungled every file he took on, even one as simple as taxing us to pay for his plastic bags. And that's without considering his repeated and habitual criminality, constant lying excuses, and frequent unethical, immoral and outlaw behaviour.
The only thing Rob can't be faulted on (if only because no one cares enough to look into it) is his claim that when citizens called, he got their potholes filled. Apparently believing that's the Mayor's job, not finding out why the clown with the shovel and the hardhat hasn't done his. That's only the start; as others have said, John Tory in a coma, or a bag of hammers, either one would be doing better as Mayor than Rob at peak-performance.

He let his grand plan for Subways Subways Subways get gutted by his own hand picked fucking TTC Chair..
He did privatize garbage west of Yonge (something I do actually credit him with) but then raised my taxes, and user fees (on just about everything) while somehow managing to offer shittier service from things like the TTC and Libraries.
He then went ahead and was such a fucking douche bag to his contemporaries that they fucking voted to cut as much power as humanly possible from his office..

There's only one DVP, and one Gardiner, and there are only so many people who can drive on it without it getting jam packed.. Toronto doesn't look like it's going to start reducing in population anytime soon, so the only way anybody is going to improve their transit time along one of these highways is to convince other people to get the fuck off of it.. There are literally only two ways to get somebody off of a highway.. Introduce a toll which dissuades them from using it, and improve transit so they might decide to take it.. A road toll on an arterial highway with funds that go directly to building transit accomplishes both.

Again, doing nothing is better than doing harm. El Cracko also failed to implement road tolls, but he did stack TCHC with patronage appointments, pay off the unions with exorbitant salary increases, try and transfer city land to his own name, install low life criminals in city hall staff, repeatedly disrupt council leaving it unable to function, and generally bring disrepute on the city by associating with vicious street criminals.
I'm sure the same has been said by supporters of Bill Cosby, Marion Barry, Chicago's Rod Blagojevich ... what is it that homophobic, crack smoking , whoring, drunken obnoxious people can actually attain a cult like following ? Rob Ford brought international shame to Toronto - yet there are still a few core supporters making excuses for his buffoon divisive behaviour. They line up and drink the spewing diarrhea of lies and even when Ford admits they are lies, they run to drink deep the next torrent.Haters gonna hate...

There are seriously ill politicians and sociopaths out there that get awaywith far worse and they keep getting away because they are more intelligent, meanwhile guys focus on easy targets like RoFo. I mean anybody can take jabs at him, nothing special here.
Let's face it, Toronto did not go to shit like many of you claim. It's fine. Just guys being drama queens and exaggerating shit cause its easy to do and everyone is doing it so let's join the band wagon. He'll probably get elected again. His kind is good to stir things up, mix it up, keep people on the edge, and make sure they do their job, it also gets people interested and involved with municipal politics.

So, to summarize, Vote Rob Ford because he's weak willed, isn't as bad as a sociopath, he makes everybody around him crazy, and he didn't technically ruin Toronto the first time around.
