Wow you've been on medication since your 30's. Does high blood pressure/cholesterol run in your family?
Yup. My father had 5 heart attacks. First at age 48. Final at age 69 in 1989.

Pure Type A personality, lived to work as an executive, no sports or exercise, smoked cigars, hated vacations, and was a very uncooperative patient when it came to following his doctors' advice.

He got a pacemaker in 1981.

He went to Texas in late 1988 to see Dr. Debakey about a heart transplant, but was denied as they realized he would never do what would be required for a proper recovery.

They gave him 6 months to live as his heart was so damaged, and they were right...

My wife is diabetic and was put on Ozempic by her doctor. The difference between this and Insulin is with insulin she had to inject herself twice a day everyday, but with ozempic she only had to inject herself once a week. Losing weight was not the reason for taking it but became an additional benefit and if you were not overweight you could end up having to stop taking it because of too much weight loss and suffer from muscle weakness.
