And nobody trusts the UN, either.
A great deal of the problem in the Middle East is attributable to UNRWA which runs the "refugee camps". They perpetuate the hope for the "return" and forment unrest. For example, Arabs are segretated in the camps according to where they are alleged to come from. Why alleged? Because many of those thousand year old olive farms the Arabs whine about never existed unless it was under swamp water. But UNRWA shows them their "homes" on maps and even takes them on bus tours of the Jewish areas that they will return to once Israel is no more. The UN is more than just a basket case; it's toxic.

OK, I stand corrected (to some extent). Some recent Presidents were not born with silver spoons in their mouths. They all were, however, well-connected and usually pretty well off by the time they became presidential candidates.

My point was that candidates are selected by the powers that be within the two major parties, and not by the general public.

Good point, hard to be the POTUS if you are an anonymous failure!

LOL

And in these times - who would take a pay cut for a 4-year contract? I don't know if I have a personal history that is conducive to a political career - I did inhale many times.
