How about a) they don't want his gravesite to be a place of pilgrimage for fellow Islamist wack-jobs b) showing photographs of a dead shot-up OBL might not only be considered insulting and insensitive in the Islamic World but also by others as well.
More enlightened commentary. Why don't you try telling the relatives of the thousands he killed that Osama was a myth.

He's probably not pretty and more...and allowing for a pilgrimage site at sea is brilliant. They should give the coordinates so that all those that want to honor him can go out and get themselves lowered down...close to the body.
It does make you wonder why they didn't show the body or take it anywhere in particular.
They offed Saddam pretty quickly, no trial, well, no REAL trial - Hague.

To clarify what happened: UBL (usama bin laden) put the SLAM in ISlam - confirmed by KSM (khalid sheik mohammed) by financing and directing the young men, deluded by religious lies, to hijack the planes and fly them into the towers.
He is now dead and we expect reports soon from UBL in purgatory - the 72 virgins were not there to greet him !

One thing about AQ is that they've been pretty upfront when one of their guys or affiliates gets killed. The jihadist websites are all reporting on OBL's death. If you want, I can post a link to one of these websites if you want to see for yourself - do you have any plans to travel on a commercial flight ever again??Does anybody else think that theres something strange going on here. The US killed him, and are all happy about it, but then they drop his body and bury it at sea. WTF dont yo think they would be parading his corpse all across the States. Then they say that he took a head shot, and that there are pictures of his autopsy, but his face would be unrecognizable. The biggest conspiracy theory making the rounds now is not "is OBL dead?" He's dead, his own guys are confirming it.
The rumour is that OBL was an instructor at the PMA, which was about 5 minutes away from his 'crib.

Imagine after attacking in that compound they found that they killed somone else (criminal) and it was not osama what's best approach here to justify.....
Simply tell world mission successful - we DID it - Pick someone from those dead bodies - Bury him quickly - Relase some bloody pictures of beds and fight - Chapter closed as no one could verify.....lot of loop holes in story....
Real Osama was dead yrs ago, now they killed imaginary osama.....
