Having said that the movie wasn't very good, too much fabrication not enough attention to detail. A remake is in the works, they could make an entire film on the escape from Devil's Island alone. Michael Fassbender is under consideration as Henri Charriere. i hope they get it right the second time.

I read that novel too!
