I have an ISO, usually you have to burn it on dvd or cd to access it and install the program. Is there anyway you can access it without burning it to cd or dvd?

Yes, there are a few applications that will do just that.

Search versiontracker.com (mount ISO).

The one I used a while back I think was called Gizmo Drive.

BTW, a Mac will mount dmg, cdr, and a couple other disk image formats out of the box. :D

Ubuntu and most other Linux systems will mount it and allow you to use it right out of the box.

Ubuntu will also allow you to mount it on a USB Flash drive, then run it off that drive.

I've done this which is pretty neat. You just plug the USB drive into any computer and you can run Ubuntu on it off that drive....The whole OS is on a key chain flash drive.

I use power iso to open the iso's and allow me to install the program, or view the contents.
