ISO Havana, Cuba on the Cheap

Does anyone have any tips on girls, lodging(casa particular), food (unfortunately, I don't speak spanish)? Or any contacts onsite for all the above, or for a guide?

I've read the Dexter and WorldSexguide sites, but was don't know how much USD to bring for each of the above with my limited budget.

the tip i can have for you is not too look too eager.
try and not like a thirsty "gringo".

For one girl i gave the equiv of what we might pay for a 2 four.

She held the money like it was $5000.

Do not pay more than $30 usd or try and give them something like a cheap dress/clothing/make up and a basic female item that we get cheap up here.

the girls all have CASA`s that they deal with and that will cost you another $20+ usd per day.

Have your guard up and realize that they are about your money and nothing else.

That's because Fidel closed off Veradero to locals (pretty much) unless they work in the hotels or tourist industry. If you want the real action go to the current hotspot. Santiago de Cuba. Lot's of girls, no hassle from the policia. Casas in the $20-30 dollar range depending on quality. Girls, $20 over night or sometimes much less if they really like you.

There are no strip clubs in Cuba. They are not necessary, there are lots of girls looking for you. It doesn't take much effort on your part to find them.

Veradero

i agree castro did a number on the sp's working the veradero strip a few years ago but the clubs in the Melia Hotels in Veradero are still a haven for young cuban girls. If you flasj around some us cash you'll have no problem. \my friend collegue is a 50 year old goblin and he had a wild time pretty much every night last year.

If you want to know what a real Cuban girl looks like check out Sue at the Cannonball. But, just before you rush off there expecting something.. she is not an SP! She always works days, though I am not sure if she still works there even.

Havana Report: Jan 2002

Thanks to all members who posted a reply (albeit too late for me).

Here's what I saw, in hopes it may help others;
-Havana was 86F, sunny and humid, no rain
-people are poor, proud and friendly and speak little english
-the air is polluted with exhaust from old cars and buildings are decrepid and run down
-plenty of hustlers/brokers for cigars, casa and SP
-if you want to use the telephone buy a calling card for $10/20 USD as the coins will confuse
-multi tier pricing, one for locals and one for tourists in USD
-bring USD, credit cards only accepted at hotels, hotel restaurants
-VISA network occasionally down, life is slow there and applies to both technology and people
-SP were $25 USD on the street, tier 1 discos $60-80 and tier 2 disco $30-40 for 2-3 hours
-latin women are pretty, available in light/dark and very enthusiatic and submissive (YMMV), you feel like a kid in a candy store; almost every women whether SP or local worker has their price
-lots of hitchhikers as buses are crowded and long wait, rent a car and cruise you may pick up some girls for free in exchange for clothes, dinner etc.
-district called La Rampa near Hotel Nacionale was good place to cruise
-beaches are outside Havana
-tourist spots are the Old Havana and Central Havana
-streets are poorly lit but very safe, additionally there are police on nearly every corner to protect tourists
-I found food to be bland and expensive $15USD buys you salad, rice+beans and entree usually pork chops/chicken/fish
-beer is cheap (Cristal is national brand) $1, a local drink you must try is Mohita?
-lots of loud Salsa music
-taxis are cheap inside the city $1-4 USD, except those old, smokey Buicks
-casa particular where you can bring your 'friend' costs $25USD per day
-hotels will not allow your 'friend' unless you pay off the guards $20 each time, although package deals at Hotel Atlantico - 30 min outside Havana could be had for $600-700 CDN in January

Finally figure on spending minimally $100 USD/day (25 for casa, 30 food, 30 for SP, 15 taxi).
