I don't have an SO this year so I thought I might bring an SP as my date to the annual family Christmas spectacular. There will only be 4 other people there, all over the age of 65, plus one annoying dog. You begin to see why I have to pay someone to go with me? On the plus side, I can guarantee that the food will be excellent - traditional turkey with all the trimmings and no lumps in the gravy. There will be wine, but we're not big-time drinkers. I'm 37, so to be age-appropriate I'm thinking 25+ but that's not written in stone. Volunteers? Suggestions? I'm only half joking, so I welcome both serious and humourous responses.

Not entirely a bad idea, I wish I had have done that when I was single and no attachments. It shuts the door on the discussions, your too nice a guy to be alone you should find someone. No crap from the relatives and after you can have a real hot private celibration.
Suggest though you take someone you have seen before and have some good chemistry with. Try to match the age fairly close because older people will talk just as bad if theres a big age difference. I'm sure you can find many 30 ish ladies that would be great in that setting.

Come to think of it, it might be fun to bring someone who doesn't speak English.
This scenario is so fraught with screw up possibilities but hey, go for it and of course, supply us with obligatory post.
Not a bad idea...Too bad my family wouldn't buy it for a second. "What's he doing with a good looking woman?" And no, I don't get the "your too nice a guy to be alone you should find someone" routine either. If I didn't know better, I'd think my family thinks it's best that I'm alone. *shrug*
so how much are you willing to spend on this date/escort? Christmas day comes at a premium. And how can there not be sex? isn't that your gift to yourself?
I was thinking I would pay the regular dinner date rate. How much do you think the premium will be? 50%? Maybe I can avoid it by taking a girl who doesn't celebrate Christmas.
