ISPs throttling torrents speed - There's a FIX!

I downloaded (Vuze)Azureus which now comes with a plugin to get around the traffic shaping. Started downloading at about 1MB/s+. Seems this gets around most of the Rogers/Bell (DSL) traffic shaping, at least for now.

I think you are mistaken... it would be 1Mb/s+

All I can tell ya is I tried it and it works. The plugin is the key...

And Papi Chulo, it is 1MB/s not 1Mb/s that I am getting now..Don't fight it, try it..

My Rogers service is rated at 10Mbps(1.25MB/s) and I get 1MB/s or 8Mb/s on torrents now. Took 60 seconds to download a 60MB file. Of course YMMV depending on the source seeds but popular downloads are mostly around the 1MB/s range.

take a look at torrent freak right now they have some instructions.

No instructions are needed..

It automatically downloads and installs the necessary plugin when you start it up. You good to go..

Tried it with a well seeded torrent and didn't really notice a difference. I'll try again later.
