Persis clearly the UN should come in and bomb the living ____ out of anyone in Gaza who launches a rocket towards Israel. Further I suggest that a special levy be placed on Iran to pay for the cost of this "peace keeping force."

I vote for options that account for the fact that the guy was just talking. That or an option saying that "Israel should not attack Gaza and Hamas should not Israel".

Better still, "both sides should STFU and just make peace with each other"

No action.

If that were grounds for action we would not be able to maintain relations with any MidEast nation: Not with the Palestinians, not with the Iranians, not even with the Saudis. They ALL say this crackpot kind of stuff.

Israel is actually the least offensive in general. I find the statements coming out of Arab nations for more frequently contain absurdly hateful statements.

Certainly we should condemn it but if were were to take any action we'd have to take action against ALL nations in that region just to be fair. I'd rather punish actions than words.

persis is probably short for "persistently idiotic".

Why don't you respond to some of the things said (a) by Hamas (b) by Iran's President (c) by Arab media (d) by Hezbollah?

"Israel's gaza holocaust rhetoric" is actually YOUR rhetoric. Bogus.

Oh and there will plenty said by the United Nations Racist Committee which periodically gets together to condemn the only bad nation in the world, Israel.

Ignorance is curable, but you persistently idiotic, have a chronic acute case.

Palestinians are committed to the destruction of Israel. It's a goal shared by persis and his kind.

Any effort by Israel to defend itself or retaliate must be condemned. How dare the Israelis fight back?

Israel gave up Gaza in good faith, with the understanding that the terror strikes would stop. Israel has every right to take it back permanently to ensure the safety of its citizens.

Arab terrorists always hide behind innocent people, thats why so many arabs are dieing, and they willingly do it. Israel defends its population by standing in front (so to speak) to protect its citizens. In my personal opinion, if the population is gaza just protests israel, and does not ask hamas to stop, then why the fuck doesn't Israel carpent bomb the shit out of gaza. ITs the most useless piece of shit land in the world, with the stupidiest people.

I don't really buy that "good faith" statement, I think they expected that they would suffer fewer losses that way and show the world that "Occupation" was merely a preoccupation, and that the real problem is the Palestinian "leaders" utter determination to have their people live in misery until Israel is destroyed (i.e. forever).

Israel doesn't want Gaza any more than it would want any other kind of festering wound. Egypt doesn't either, though it had the chance to take Gaza over again.

Sad thing is Gaza was being developed back in the mid-90s. Things were looking up. Beaches there are supposed to be nice. I think that the combination of Arafat's and Fatah's corruption, and Hamas' intolerance, pulled things back.

Israel certainly didn't help but it might be time for the Palestinians to recognize that their situation is not entirely someone else's fault.
