Everytime I open my itunes on my computer, it takes forever to load. Once it opens which takes atleast 15minutes if I am lucky, I can't log in to the "store" or do anything.

I erased it. Re-downloaded it.

Same thing.

Ideas?

I get around.
It would help to know your computer's specs but the first thing you could try is turning off Genius and Coverflow. Also iTunes by default expects you to have other Apple devices and tries to sync them up. In iTunes go to Edit> Preferences>Devices and uncheck the box for "Look for iPad, iPhone etc" There's a similar "Look for Apple tv" box to uncheck in the Apple TV tab.

If you have an iphone you are stuck with itunes, unfortunately. However, if you only have an older-model ipod i'd suggest looking into Rockbox. Open source firmware that will make your ipod into an even better device. You will no longer need that abomination that is itunes to add music to your device, all you need to do is plug it in to a usb port and your pc will see it as an external drive.

You'd have to check to see which devices are supported, as I have an older ipod video, so I have no experience with newer apple devices.
