I am able to understand difference between authorized-for-use versus approved. As I don’t have any co-morbidities and have extreme youth on my side, I can easily wait for final approval. Not a fan of being part of a clinical trial.

I understand that but the FDA regulatesthe US. Not Canada. So why would you wait for a US company? Why not Canadian organization?
Canada doesn’t even make the vaccines. That’s a lot of trust Canada is placing in another country’s vaccine. That same country hasn’t even approved it themselves. It is like saying the chef doesn’t fully trust the food safety of the meals he makes, but has no problem giving it to his hungry customers. Think about it.
The country that manufactures the vaccine is completely irrelevant. A vaccine (or product) is made and then it must be approved by the governing body of the country in which it is distributed.
If you trust American governing bodies more than Canadian ones, no offence, you're clueless, because Canadian governing bodies are much more strict than US governing bodies.
This is exactly why in Canada we don't allow American chicken that has been treated with chlorine, why we use liquid sugar as opposed to high-fructose corn syrup, and why so-called "American cheese slices" from the US cannot be sold in Canada because they're closer to plastic than cheese (our processed cheese is called "cheeze" because "cheese" is a protected term and cheeze slices don't make the grade.
Good luck with your vaccine doses; hope your side effects are negligible. As I explained, I am not playing in the clinical trials game. Not a fan.
Also @JeanGary Diablo, you logic is nutty. You give excellent examples of how strict Canada’s standards are compared to the US because Canada won’t approve food stuffs that the US does. So how is it that Canada is so strict if Canada will approve the jab using lower standards than the US? Or are you using “political science” standards?
They have been approved for emergency use. As you said. In ALL countries.
And Canada does its own independent reviews/studies before allowing use. So country production origin doesn't matter as pointed out.
Now to be clear, I'm not trying to push you or anyone for that matter to get the shot. It is everyone own right to chose and I would never take the right away from someone but I just don't get trusting one country over your own.
If I felt that much distrust for my country, that I trust another instead - I would move to that country.
My choice of where I live is much simpler. Canada’s women are hotter. Even the nuttier ones.
@Genesis, the correct terminology is “authorized for emergency use”. It isn’t “approved for emergency use.” Very very small yet critical legal point.

Point taken. My bad on the language and I agree. But this is the language of lawyers which I suspect they created as a means to a guaranteed income. For better or worse, we now always need lawyers! Lol. But that is a topic for a different thread.
